ABC of Couponing

Learning to Coupon!!!

What exactly is couponing?
-- Its the ability to match- up weekly deals with coupons, rebates and other promotional offers to receive the lowest possible price on items and stock up on supplies, food and items when the item is at its lowest price in the coupon cycle.

Why should you coupon?
-- Couponing can save you hundreds of dollars on groceries. This extra money can be used to pay off loans, pay off your mortgage, go on vacation, add it to your savings or indulge in something new! Simply put... Why you you spend some much on groceries when you don't have to? Now couponing will allow you to put that extra money to good use!

What will this site provide?
- I will try to provide you with the best daily deals, giveaways, samples and freebies. I will also post couponing advice, hot coupons, store match-ups, give advice and share the beauty of what couponing is and how it has changed my life. I will also show you how it can change yours and share the stories of other couponers!!

Where to find coupons?

- Sunday Newspapers: The normal Sunday paper usually has over $200 worth of coupons in it! I will always post the preview to the Sunday paper so you can have a glance at what coupons should be in the paper. The coupon values can vary by region. My dollar Tree sells newspapers for $1.00 so check if yours does as well. This will save you quite a lot. I also always buy newspapers in 2's so if a BOGO deal comes along I will always be prepared!!

-Online printable: There are a few trustworthy sites where it is possible to print coupons!! DO NOT COPY COUPONS YOU PRINTED!! They all have individual codes and you can go to jail as it is considered Fraud! I will outline all of the sites below!

-Magazines: All You is a great magazine filled with TONS of great coupons and is only available at Walmart. Other magazines which might have coupons include Latina, Better Home and Gardens,  Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Family Fun and tons of others!

- On product: There are three types of coupons which are found on the products. Blinkies are the little machines that spit out coupons and are located in the store in front of the merchandise. Peelies are little stickers which are on the items and can be peeled off and used. Hangtags are very often found on bottles and are just coupons which are attached to the bottle by hanging on the neck. All of these coupons are manufacture coupons and can be used at ANY store which accepts manufacture coupons.

-Store Coupons: These are coupons which are store retailer coupons and can be used together with manufacture coupons on one item (AWESOME savings!!) Target has printable ones on their website HERE, Publix has printable ones from time to time but always has inserts in their store, CVS and Walgreens both have store coupons as well as Family Dollars, Dollar General and many other stores.

-Coupon Trading: I run a coupon trading group on Facebook. This is where you trade coupons with others through the mail. If interested in being added, please leave a comment or email me!

PRINTABLE COUPONS OUTLINED!

Coupons.com - I have added these coupons under the printable coupons page found HERE! You can easily change your zip code on the left hand side to search for hot coupons which are usually under the zip 77477 or 90210 (LOL!) I will always post which zip to use if I find hot coupons to be printed. Using your own zip will show you coupons in your area! You can also sort by category or brand to make it easier! You can print each coupon TWICE per computer. After you print the first round, go all the way to the end to see the coupons you just printed and be able to reprint them.  These coupons are frequently changing so make sure to check the coupons from time to time!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION STILL!! KEEP CHECKING BACK =D

DISCLAIMER!!! -- Please realize I'm here to teach you the realistic side of couponing and not the side you might frequently see on TV. Recognize that it is reality TV and a lot of items are changed to provide a good show including coupon policies, coupon usage and fraudulent coupons are frequently used on the show as well. Couponing isn't something super fast and easy. It takes understanding and time but everyone can save at least 50% on their groceries!!! Always remember sometimes great deals do come along and it is possible to get tons of items for free, just pay tax or even get money/giftcards back!!

  2. I liked reading this, I usually just use coupons for items that I would be buying anyways but this gives tips on how to apply coupons to existing deals without being a total crazy person like on TV. A nice real life situation here I appreciate it!
